Runner Rugs
A runner rug is a long, narrow piece designed for hallways, corridors, kitchen galley spaces and along the sides of beds. Standard widths are 2 to 3 ft; lengths range from 6 ft up to 14 ft (and we make custom runners up to 20 ft on commission).
For hallways, leave 6-12 inches of floor showing at each end of the runner; for the kitchen, position the runner along the main standing area at the sink and stove. Pure wool runners are best for high-traffic zones — they hide dirt, tolerate constant foot traffic and last decades. Cotton dhurrie runners offer a lighter, more casual look ideal for kitchens and bedrooms.

How do I measure for a runner rug?
Measure the length of your hallway or corridor and subtract 12-24 inches total (so the runner leaves 6-12 inches of floor at each end). For width, leave 4-6 inches of floor visible on each side.
Do you make extra-long runners?
Yes — we regularly produce custom runners up to 20 ft long. Send us the length and width and we'll quote a bespoke piece.
