Viscose (Art Silk) Rugs

Viscose — sometimes called "art silk" — gives you the lustrous sheen and fluid drape of real silk at a much more accessible price point. Made from regenerated cellulose fibres, viscose accepts dye beautifully and produces vivid, jewel-like colour palettes that suit contemporary interiors.

Our viscose rugs are mostly hand-tufted (some hand-knotted) by Bhadohi artisans, with intricate carving, embossed motifs and high-low textures that bring the design to life. Viscose works beautifully in bedrooms, formal living rooms, master suites and any low-traffic area where you want luxurious looks without the cost of pure silk.

Viscose is more sensitive to water than wool, so we recommend keeping it away from kitchens, bathrooms and entryways.
