Handmade Wool Rugs & Carpets
Pure wool is the soul of Indian carpet weaving — naturally resilient, stain-resistant and warm underfoot. Our handmade wool rugs are crafted in Bhadohi (the carpet capital of India) using premium New Zealand wool spun on traditional looms by master artisans with decades of experience. Each piece is knotted or tufted by hand, hand-finished and washed with herbal solutions to achieve a soft, lustrous finish that synthetic rugs simply cannot replicate.
We weave wool into everything from traditional Persian medallions and Mughal florals to contemporary geometric patterns and minimalist Scandinavian designs. Because every rug is made-to-order, you can specify any size, colour, pattern density or pile height — there is no machine-made compromise. Wool naturally repels dust, dampens sound and lasts generations when cared for properly, which is why our wool carpets are trusted by interior designers, hotels and homeowners in over 40 countries.

Frequently Asked Questions
Why are handmade wool rugs better than machine-made?
Hand-knotted wool rugs use individual wool knots tied by an artisan, which makes them denser, longer-lasting and reversible. Machine-made rugs use glue-backed synthetic fibres that shed and flatten within a few years. A well-made handmade wool rug from Bhadohi will last 30-50+ years.
Is New Zealand wool better than Indian wool?
New Zealand wool has longer staple fibres and a naturally higher lustre, which produces a softer, shinier finish that takes dye beautifully. We use it for our premium collections, while local Indian wool is used for hard-wearing flatweaves and dhurries.
Are your wool rugs colourfast?
Yes. We use Swiss chrome dyes and hand-wash every carpet before dispatch, so colours stay vibrant for decades. We're also OEKO-TEX certified — no harmful substances in any of our dyes.
Can I order a custom size wool rug?
Absolutely. Wool is our most-requested custom material. Send us your dimensions, preferred pattern and colour palette and we'll quote a fully bespoke piece. Minimum order is typically 4x6 ft.
